Back in May, I photographed the newly-formed theater collective Shakespeare Downtown during an outdoor performance of their first play, the classic Romeo & Juliet, at Castle Clinton, in Lower Manhattan.
I’ve never photographed an outdoor play before, and it came with different challenges than the average play indoors with professional lighting, but it was a great experience and a wonderful play. Shakespeare Downtown’s performances are free and open to the public, check out their website here to see when their next production will take place!
