Nico + Michael

On a bitterly cold January day, I had the pleasure of photographing Nico and Michael’s ceremony at the City Clerk’s office in downtown Manhattan. Nico and Michael are two of the kindest people I have ever met. They are down-to-earth and fun, and always laughing. They have the cutest cat named Baxter that stole the show in his bow tie at breakfast before the ceremony.

The lovely couple and their friends and families could not have been warmer as I captured their ceremony and reception over the weekend of Feb. 18. It’s such a wonderful thing to work with good people. Photographing a wedding is like taking a crash course in getting to know a family, and these two families were amazing.

The following Sunday, Nico and Michael had their reception at the rooftop bar and lounge at the Empire Hotel, right across from the beautiful Lincoln Center, where we stopped by to take some photos before the party started.
